CHICAGO, IL – April 16, 2010 – Holistic artist and certified sound healer, Shayna Bracha Farber announces the launch of her new website [http://www.shaynabracha.com] this week. The website will give visitors an insight into the remarkable artwork of Shayna, and her unique training system, Harmony FusionWave Awareness™ (HFWA).

“Holistic Art is the process which allows us to connect with our true potential by opening up a clear conduit.” Shayna expressed. Born Joanne Sigel in Chicago, she was also given the Hebrew name Shayna Bracha which means “beautiful blessing.”

In 1995 Shayna was stricken with Raynaud’s phenomenon, a condition that affects blood circulation, which developed into fibromyalgia and then chronic fatigue syndrome. In March of 2001, Shayna attended a retreat with Peruvian Master-Shaman Juan Nunez del Prado to learn about energy fields surrounding the body and how to use stones and crystals to affect the chakras and remove negative energy.

Shayna used the teachings of the master shaman in her process toward total recovery. Shayna then began combining the techniques together with sacred Kabbalah texts with art instruction, teaching brush strokes and colors, as well as use of visualization, meditation, vocalization and aromatherapy to free the artist within. This was the beginning of her artistic spiritual quest; creating art was an important part of her recovery process.

Shayna’s Harmony FusionWave Awareness™ is a fun-filled, 12-hour program that also incorporates an apprenticeship program ranging from one to three years in duration, in which Shayna ignites natural resources through playful vocalizations, visualizations, and meditations. “The domestication of modern life represses our natural instincts.” Shayna explained. “Here we create a safe place to nourish our souls and liberate our spiritual energy by calling upon ancient teachings from various cultures.” HFWA also explores the origins of man and spirit with the purpose of learning and experimenting with energies. Shayna guides participants through a series of channeled meditations, natural healing methods and HFWA exercises that will teach one how to use their natural gifts and talents on a daily basis.

Shayna’s distinctive style is influenced by Kandinsky and Klee, and Dutch artist M.C. Escher. Shayna also credits Rabbi Douglas Goldhammer of the Hebrew Seminary for the Deaf, where she studied to be a Kabbalahlist healing Rabbi, as a mentor/teacher, together with International Artist BenTzion who was also influential as a mentor, and also Cosmic Rebbe Jeff Osias, radio host of the “The New Jewish Wake-Up Call” who played a major role in her life, particularly in regards to working with the Tree of Life and the Torah. 

A certified sound healer, Shayna was trained in this discipline by Chant Master Jonathan Goldman. She has also studied vibrational aromatherapy through Ixchel Susan Leigh, the author and teacher of Aromatic Alchemy. Shayna’s art has been called visionary and prolific, expressing world peace and compassion from the heart.
